​Tripodi Arabians

Located in the south of Italy, in Gioia Tauro, Tripodi Arabians was founded in 2003 by Francesco Tripodi and remains today a true family operation, shared with his son Fabiano.

What began as a deep personal passion for the Arabian horse has grown into an internationally respected breeding program, dedicated to excellence in the halter arena and beyond.

Our Beginning

Francesco has always loved horses, but he has never owned any breed other than the Arabian.

“We fell in love with Arabians at first sight.”

That initial emotion evolved into a clear vision: to breed horses of extraordinary beauty and presence—Arabians capable of competing and winning not only in Italy, but on the most prestigious international stages.

From the very beginning, the goal has never been quantity, but quality.

Our Philosophy

At Tripodi Arabians, breeding is guided by a simple yet powerful principle:

Every horse must represent our ideal of the Arabian—type, elegance, charisma, balance, and refinement.

Selection is made first with the eye and the heart, and then confirmed by pedigree. The program features strong concentrations of the influential El Shaklan and Ali Jamaal bloodlines, carefully blended to produce horses with consistent type and modern appeal.

Breeding methods include:

• Natural service

• Artificial insemination

• Embryo transfer, particularly with proven or senior mares

Each cross is thoughtfully planned to enhance quality and preserve the identity of our program.

A Milestone in Our History

One of the defining moments for Tripodi Arabians was the extraordinary success of Royal Colours, the straight Egyptian stallion who brought international recognition to the farm.

Imported from the United States in partnership with Giampaolo Gubbiotti and Paolo Capecci, Royal Colours quickly became a sensation in Europe.

His achievements include:

• World Champion Junior Colt (2006)

• World Champion Senior Stallion (2009, Paris)

• Platinum Champion Stallion (2016, Paris)

Beyond his titles, he became an influential sire, leaving a legacy through exceptional offspring admired worldwide.

His success marked a turning point and confirmed that our vision could compete at the highest level.

Our Farm Today

Today, Tripodi Arabians is home to approximately 60 horses, primarily broodmares and carefully selected young prospects. The farm maintains a limited number of resident stallions while also utilizing select outside sires each year to continually refine and strengthen the breeding program.

Some of our horses have become highly sought-after on the international market.
